Front-end Drupal Developer
at Insomniac Design is responsible for developing responsive websites and applications to interpret our clients’ needs and to design solutions with high visual impact. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will partner with our UI/UX designers to bridge the gap between visual design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works for end users.While you don’t need to have every skill on our list, you should be proficient in multiple languages and programming paradigms, as well as be comfortable working in various front-end frameworks.
More importantly, you should be curious about new technologies and constantly learning new skills, libraries, and frameworks in order to grow your capabilities and share knowledge with others.
General Responsibilities:
- Work towards achieving business goals without a predefined solution, showcasing adaptability and critical thinking skills

- Assist in creating team-level processes and optimization of existing processes
- Assist with the mentorship of junior team members

Technical Responsibilities:
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Develop new user-facing features and maintain custom websites and applications
- Write high-quality reusable code to develop the dynamic user interface for various platforms
- Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to design and implement RESTful APIs and data exchange mechanisms
- Innovation in deliverables – show a strong desire and passion to implement new technologies to make the next project better than the last
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years experience performing responsive web development including Object Oriented Design developing clean, semantic, and valid code
- Proven track record of delivering software on time with a deep understanding of the software development life cycle
- Proficient in web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3, with a keen eye for UI and UX
- In-depth experience with at least one of the following technologies: ReactJS, CSS preprocessors, MaterialUI/Tailwind/Bootstrap
- Knowledge of object-oriented principles, design patterns, and best practices in software architecture
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Experience implementing product, process, automation, and improvements using industry best practices
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong written and verbal English skills
