Manufacturing Test Engineer
Location:
On-site Round Rock, TX
Job Overview:
Infinitum is seeking a highly experienced Manufacturing Test Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of expertise in hardware and software design and development for manufacturing test systems. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in creating automated test systems and equipment for electronics and motors, supporting both high-mix and high-volume production environments. In this role you will report to the VP of Operations while working from Infinitum’s headquarters in Round Rock, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create Production Test Solutions for VFD-based electric motors and related products both locally and remotely in other locations and countries.
- Maintain production test systems and analyze data/performance of those systems and the products tested, both local and remote.
- Troubleshoot testing issues on various types of assemblies, both electronic and mechanical, at local and remote sites.
- Support production automation activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must-Have Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in hardware and software design and development for manufacturing test systems, automated test systems and automated test equipment for electronics and motors.
- Expertise in NI LabVIEW
- Ability to program in Python, Perl, and SQL or equivalent.
- Experience supporting both high-mix and high-volume production.
- Extensive background in developing test solutions for new products and supporting rapid change/improvement cycles of released products.
- Comfortable working in multiple OS environments including platform OS, RTOS and embedded.
- Experience with source code control system such as GIT
- Hardware design and integration background in analog/digital/power (DC, 60Hz, 400Hz) systems.
- Familiarity with eCAD and mCAD systems.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledgeable about all aspects of structural PCBA testing, functional testing at subassembly and top level and ongoing reliability testing.
- Additional programming languages
- Experience with Perforce source control system
- Experienced with NI cDAQ or PXIe. LabVIEW FPGA highly desirable.
- SCADA system programming/implementation
- Familiarity with Altium and SolidWorks.
- Bilingual English and Spanish
