Full-timeDescriptionThe function of the Quote Team representative is to provide technical product solutions for Valve Inquires in a timely, professional and accurate manner to ensure a positive customer experience to existing and prospective customers.Responsibilities· Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.· Creating accurate timely quotes,· Follow up on Quotation· Offer customers additional products to compliment current product or service· Utilize AMP program to ensure maximum margins are achieved· Partners with Account Managers and customers to provide sales quotes· Processes incoming RFQs into company sales system (P21)· Quotes customers using working knowledge of product· Ensure accurate pricing through customer and national contracts.· Monitors inventory levels to ensure promise date fulfillment· Builds and maintains strong internal and external relationships· Supports internal customers ensuring their needs are being met and/or support colleagues in managing client relationship· Build strong relations with suppliers and other distributors ensuring timely responses.Requirements Skills and Abilities· Strong product knowledge within quote team product group· Possess excellent customer service skills· Ability to interact with customers and team-members in a professional manner· Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities· Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written· Proactive quote retrieval· Requires a proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in units of measure· Must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.· Basic computer skills including MS Word.

Strong Excel, internet and email· Must be able to successfully utilize the company software· Ability to read technical drawingsQualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in industrial valve business
  • Experience working in valve distribution
  • Experience & understanding of specifications for quarter turn valves and valve actuation
  • College degree preferred, will consider equivalents
