The Impact You’ll Have
At Placemakr, our obsession with exceptional service doesn’t stop at our current team members, guests, residents and partners – it encompasses our prospective team members as well. As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, your mission will be to support the hiring of a high-volume of talented property and non-property team members, implement strategic recruiting initiatives, and serve as a source of expertise for our hiring managers and less tenured Talent Acquisition team members. You will closely partner with (and report to) the Sr.
Manager, Talent Acquisition, to build and execute strategies that identify, attract, and secure the very best talent. As one of Placemakr’s first points of contact for our candidates, you will embody and champion our Community Norms and pride yourself in providing a world-class hiring experience. To be successful in this role, you must be a client-focused, energetic, thoughtful problem-solver, extremely organized and detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you can expect to source and vet candidates for positions including leasing, housekeeping, guest experience, engineering, property leadership, customer service, analytics, sales, and more.
This is a remote position ideally based in one of the following markets to support with business hiring needs: Texas, Atlanta, Nashville, or Chicago.
What You'll Do
- Manage the strategic, full-cycle talent acquisition process (from job posting to offer extension and negotiation) for 15-25 unique requisitions at a time, supporting diverse stakeholders across a variety of business units (operations, guest experience, maintenance/engineering, housekeeping and property operations and leadership, sales, real estate, etc.), property locations and levels (entry level through management).
- Develop a transparent, collaborative, and effective partnership with hiring managers across our properties and corporate teams.
- Build networks to develop and maintain a pool of high-quality, diversified, passive and active candidates for all levels across our property teams.
- Schedule and conduct interviews and provide a memorable candidate experience during the end-to-end recruitment process.
- Conduct regular follow-ups throughout the recruiting process with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans, provide updates and ensure clear, consistent communication.
- Position yourself as a subject matter expert in the high-volume, property and corporate recruiting space by providing best practices, trainings and consultations for new and existing hiring managers across our properties.
- Research, uncover, and engage top talent using creative methods and sources (Indeed, LinkedIn, in-person or community-based recruiting, etc.)
- Ideate, execute and provide feedback on programs and strategies that amplify our recruiting efforts including employer branding initiatives, interview strategies and recruiting best practices.
- Train and mentor junior members of the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with Placemakr’s policies as well as Federal and State laws as it relates to talent acquisition efforts.

What It Takes
- 4+ years of high-volume, functional recruiting experience in a full life-cycle, field-based (hospitality, retail, restaurants/food and beverage, etc.) environment required (startup experience is a plus!).
- Demonstrated experience autonomously managing high-volume recruiting needs for non-exempt service-focused roles as well as specialized corporate (sales, real estate, global) and technical (maintenance/engineering) roles.
- Expert knowledge in sourcing for exceptional passive and active candidates through a variety of resources, including in-person recruiting, professional networks (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) and referrals required.
- Prior experience with team mentorship or sharing best practices with others.
- Familiarity with one or more applicant tracking system (we use Lever!).
- Articulate, engaging and energetic communication that organically creates excitement for all prospective Placemakrs. You consistently and authentically show up as a brand ambassador for your team.
- Ability to develop, improve, execute and uphold recruiting processes, standards, and strategies.
- Administrative expertise that allows you to meet and exceed deadlines by managing and organizing your time, projects, and high-volume of positions effectively.
- You have exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills, that are centered around empathy and collaboration, which allow you to deeply understand hiring manager and candidate needs.
- You have unbeatable written and verbal communication skills that are clear, direct, and create trust.
- You can multi-task effectively with a sense of urgency in an ambiguous, dynamic environment and embrace changes as they arise.
- You have a propensity for taking initiative and ownership while operating with a high level of independence, rigor, and creativity.
- You are comfortable with and excel at utilizing your talent acquisition expertise and communication skills to inspire and influence the organization to action.
