Are you ready to be at the forefront of the clean energy revolution? MetOx International, Inc. is seeking an Talent Management Intern to join our Human Resources team for Summer 2024 and play a vital role in reshaping the future of power generation and distribution.
Based at our global headquarters in Houston, TX, the Talent Management intern has an opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world setting. The Talent Management Intern develops and implements a talent review framework aimed at assessing employee performance, potential, and career aspirations. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, creating support materials for managers, and assisting in the measurement of the process's effectiveness. The intern will receive direct guidance and mentorship from the Sr.
Director Human Resources throughout the project. You will work closely with experienced professionals on meaningful projects, gaining practical insights and contributing to the success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports Development & Implementation of Talent Management Process:
- Supports development of a comprehensive talent review framework to assess employee performance, potential, and career aspirations.
- Establishes a structured talent review process, including calibration sessions and evaluation methods.
- Develops support materials, such as guidelines and templates, to assist managers in the talent review process.
- Trains HR team members and key stakeholders on the talent review framework.
- Establishes metrics to track the effectiveness of the talent review process, such as promotion rates and retention of high-potential employees.
- Makes recommendations to iterate on the talent review process based on feedback and data insights to continuously enhance its effectiveness by the end of the year.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s of business administration or related program at an accredited university.
- Junior level standing or above.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pursuing a major in human resource management.
- Previous coursework or exposure to talent management or performance evaluation concepts.
- Previous internship or relevant work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in work deliverables.
- Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.
