JOB SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineer will work with our multi-disciplinary team to design Natural Gas Compressor Stations, Interconnect Stations, M&R Stations, Interstate Pipeline Systems, CO2 Facilities, and Natural Gas Liquids Facilities. Duties include producing drawing redlines, design calculations, and coordinating work with drafting team.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES OF THE JOBPrepare red lines / design calculations to produce the following drawings:
- Hazardous Area Classification Plans
- Grounding Plans
- Conduit and Cable Tray Routing Plans
- Conduit and Cable Schedules
- 480V MCC One-line Drawings
- Power Distribution Panel Schedules
- Indoor and Outdoor Lighting plans
- Electrical layout for buildings
- Junction box layout with terminations
- Emergency Shutdown System layout (Relay Based)
- PLC panel layout
- Electrical Bill of Material
Additional Duties:
- Support Mechanical Team by reviewing Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (PID) and marking automation symbiology for instrumentation.
- Prepare specification of Pressure Transmitters, Temperature Transmitters, limit switches, solenoids, and float switches.
- Perform design calculations to size: conduits, cable tray, cables, transformers, breakers, motor controllers, and UPS systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to perform electrical calculations per National Electric Code (NEC).
- Ability to read and apply NEC, DOT Part 192, AGA XL 1001, and API RP500.
- Skilled in the use of computer equipment, printers, phone systems, and able to quickly develop a proficient working knowledge of the Company’s software programs.
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to communicate policies, procedures and objectives effectively.
- Must be capable of working under pressure as well as organizing and planning efficiently.
- Must have effective analytical skills for assessing and evaluating.
- Must manage time well and be able to focus on a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- 4 Year Degree - Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
- E.I.T and P.E. or ability to obtain.
- PE will be preferred.

- May be required to lift and carry up to 30 pounds in the form of computer paper or other various forms.
- May be required to sit for extended periods of time while performing job duties.
- Receives and/or follows detailed instructions.
- Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time, paying attention to detail.
- Frequent operation of standard office machines, including computer.
- Frequency moves about the office building.
- Requires answering/using the telephone.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires occasional bending, reaching, stretching, standing, pulling, squatting, grasping.
- Must possess auditory, verbal and visual capabilities in order to adequately communicate via phone, computer and in person.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Most work is performed in an office environment at normal noise levels.
- Occasional travel by car and/or air to job sites or branch offices is required.
- This is a full-time position, Monday—Friday, and may occasionally require more than 40 hours per week depending upon workload.
- The job requires a regular presence in the office. Occasional remote work may be available.
