Job Description


We are looking for a proactive controller and audit manager to join our Treasury risk and control team.Our customers depend on Wise to protect their money, whether it be via Safeguarding or through compliance with the Client Asset Sourcebook (CASS). Your mission

  • Be the face of Wise for our two annual audits covering Safeguarding and CASS.
  • Review existing controls, remediating gaps, supporting new growth initiatives and helping to design and set the standard for a global approach to applying Safeguarding.
  • Ensure our control framework is designed and operating effectively, keeping our customers as top priority at all times.

  • Supporting the transition to a global approach for Safeguarding.

  • Remediating key audit / self-identified findings.

  • Reviewing Risks and mitigating Controls - documenting existing and designing / supporting implementation for any gaps

  • Being the Treasury audit lead for Safeguarding and CASS and facing-off to external auditors.

  • Stakeholder reporting - leading the monthly CASS governance committee and providing periodic updates to regulatory risk committees.

About you


  • Experience with Safeguarding and/or CASS regulatory obligations

  • Experience with external audits (Safeguarding, CASS or financial)

  • Understanding of fixed income investments (e..g bonds, money market funds) are useful but not essential

Key skills / qualifications:


  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Ability to challenge

  • Ability to own issue remediation through to completion

  • Financial Qualification (e.g. CFA, CIMA, ACCA or other relevant reg/risk qualification)
