Sourcing Manager

Job Overview:
Reporting to the V.P. of Supply Chain, the Sourcing Manager manages partnerships, agreements, and contracts for strategically sourced direct materials at a corporate level. This newly created role will develop policies, procedures, and objectives for the operation of the procurement team in accordance with Infinitum’s objectives. They will ensure new developments relative to procurement are investigated and make recommendations that meet the objectives of the organization. The Sourcing Manager will work closely with R&D, Engineering, and Operations, to get inputs into sourcing strategies and decisions.
They will also coordinate with corporate resources to manage strategic sourcing activities. The ideal candidate should have proven experience as a Sourcing Manager or similar role in Supply Chain and possess strong market knowledge, financial acumen, and leadership skills to coordinate internal and external stakeholders and deliver results. This is a full-time position based at our Round Rock, TX location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the sourcing strategy for Infinitum’s direct materials through strong technical/market expertise. This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance (quality, cost, and delivery targets).
- Leads the development & execution of sourcing strategic initiatives to meet and exceed component cost reduction targets, fulfillment, and obsolescence/life-cycle management by leveraging standardization and latest industry practices.
- Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify opportunities to reduce cost, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and industry developments that benefit Infinitum’s bottom line.
- Perform supplier financial research, spend analysis and ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic procurement deals.
- Work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing. Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality to strike agreements that meet performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.
- Builds deep relationships with Strategic Suppliers Relationships driving early supplier engagement into Infinitum New Product Introduction (NPI) process, and long-term partnership for wing-to-wing product lifecycle.
- Leads sourcing with full accountability for meeting material cost reduction targets by setting strategic direction for the purchasing team.
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure business objectives are met. Includes rapidly synthesizing and presenting findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply issues that can affect product strategy.
- Optimize supply chain performance through cost and capacity scenario analysis, and benchmarking. Develop an in-depth understanding of valued manufacturing processes and costs and market intelligence and apply this knowledge to influence the future product roadmap and sourcing decisions.
- Provide overall program management support and supply to ongoing development of processes, templates, issue procedures, and reporting.
- Stay up to date with latest market trends, technologies, and innovations and identify opportunities that support Infinitum’s product roadmap.
- Assure compliance with procurement agreements by Infinitum and selected suppliers and manage the supplier base performance in accordance with Infinitum’s standards.

Qualifications and Skills:
- 8-10 years of experience sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain management including 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in sourcing raw materials, preferably within Metals (Casting, Machining, Stamping) and Plastics commodities.
- Advanced level proficiency with M.S. Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with ability to interact effectively with suppliers, internal/external stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Proven ability to effectively engage in design reviews, drive technical roadmap discussions and drive substantial influence across supply base.
- Proven interpersonal and project management capabilities with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with shifting priorities and varying deadlines.
- Ability to negotiate daily deals and contracts for maximum value, identifying cost-saving opportunities with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Excellent business/financial acumen, proficient in leading and setting direction for teams, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
- Track record of driving procurement savings and building cross-functional partnerships.
- Possess exceptional project management skills, organization, and attention to detail.
- Have a good understanding of the roles played by R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and database management.
- Strong leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead people, cross-functional teams, and suppliers in a matrix environment to deliver results.
- Proven ability to think critically and creatively problem solve.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of time.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, finance, or a similar field.
