Job Overview


As a Power Electronics Engineer at Infinitum, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of power electronics systems. This role demands a deep understanding of power conversion technologies, a track record of successful product development, and the ability to work with a team of engineers to deliver high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities


Power Electronics Design:


  • Lead the design and development of advanced power electronics systems, including converters, inverters, and power supplies, from concept to production.
  • Emphasis on Variable Frequency Drive development and Active Front Ends.

System Optimization:


  • Optimize power electronics systems for efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and simulations to validate designs.

New Technology Evaluation:


  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in power electronics.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies that enhance product performance.

Prototyping and Testing:


  • Oversee the prototyping and testing of power electronics systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other system components.

Regulatory Compliance:


  • Ensure that power electronics designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with certification engineering team for certifications as needed.

Collaboration:


  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to integrate power electronics solutions into overall product architectures.

Documentation:


  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • Ensure that documentation meets company standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Skills


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in power electronics design, with a focus on motor inverters.
  • Strong knowledge of power semiconductor devices, magnetics, and thermal management.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as PLECS, SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar.
  • Proficiency with Schematic Capture using Altium.
  • Experience with PCB layout and design tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
