Job Summary
Takes and processes orders to existing and new customers on a timely basis. Creates and maintains accurate customer records.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a positive attitude to all customer interactions. Strive to be an asset to the customer and build the relationship between Lamons and the customer.
- Enters sales orders into the Symix systems. Creates and maintains accurate customer database records.
- Scan and record all sales records into document control.
- Acquire and disseminate MTRs to customers as needed.
- Provide tracking and estimated ship dates to customers. Inform sales of potential delays or customer concerns.
- Develop and maintain basic product knowledge. Keep informed of market, new products or services, basic technical information, product reliability and other general information of interest to the customer.
- Follow-up on orders with a report every day to make sure orders are released and entered in a timely fashion.
- Provide Salesperson with information on customer sales orders when asked.
- Communicates with Inside Sales, Accounting, and Purchasing departments on order delays or changes.
- Use telephone, word processing and related office equipment in fulfilling daily requirements.
- Offer and obtain assistance from peers or supervisor when needed. Maintain flexibility in performing other related tasks or functions as required or assigned.
- Keep supervisor and Inside Sales department updated on important activity with customers they interface with.
Job Specifications
Skills
- Knowledge of Customer Order Processes – Symix System, Windows and Microsoft Office. (Word and Excel)
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing work as needed.
- Able to learn and retain new information.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to type accurately at speed.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Computer training courses. (College level preferred)
Work Experience
- 2-3 years’ experience as an order processing or customer service representative, preferably in a manufacturing or services organization. Or 2-3 years’ experience with industry products and services preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Capable of communicating effectively with co-workers and customers.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
Salary Range
- Depending on Experience: $38,171.00 - $45,760.00
