About the Role:


As part of the Finance team and under the general direction of the Senior Payroll Manager, the Payroll/Commissions Analyst will be responsible for the timely and accurate administration of the Company’s multi-state payrolls for all employees and the calculation of commissions for our sales team. This position will be required to process full-cycle, multi-state payroll, reconcile payroll records, resolve discrepancies, and maintain HRIS database/reporting as well as understanding and computing commissions.

What You’ll Do:


  • Provide full-cycle payroll preparation and processing for exempt and non-exempt employees, including computation of commissions, bonuses and final paychecks;
  • Reconcile payroll records for each pay cycle period and resolve payroll discrepancies as needed;
  • Respond to employee inquiries and request regarding payroll matters, facilitate management and employee understanding of payroll procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records in payroll system and audit employee records to ensure compliance with federal/state wage and hour laws, payroll taxes, etc;
  • Ensure accurate payments and deductions, including wage garnishments, tax levy, and benefit deductions;
  • Assist Payroll Senior Manager in the design, implementation and maintenance of effective payroll processes, policies, and internal controls.
  • Research and respond to inquiries in regards to payroll related information, such as tax withholding, pay deduction, earnings, commissions and verification of employment;
  • Communicate actively with Operations, Accounting, POH, etc. to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing;
  • Prepares year-to-date, monthly, weekly payroll reports for management.
  • Provide support for various audit(s) that occur throughout the year.
  • Document workflow and standard work procedures and identify process improvements and system enhancements;
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications & Interests:


  • High School Diploma required (college degree preferred);
  • Minimum of one year related work experience;
  • Understanding of Payroll business processes and commissions. Experience with UKG (UltiPro) payroll software strongly preferred;
  • Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills including advanced Excel;
  • Must be detail-oriented and have strong analytical and organizational skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities;
  • Excellent customer service skills;

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.Estimated Pay Range$66,000—$89,000 USD
