Our company relies on proprietary software tools to offer a full suite of services, including energy procurement and demand management; solar, roofing, building envelope, and pavement assessment and maintenance; and LED lighting, HVAC/mechanical, and building automation systems design and implementation.
The Mechanical Manager of Project Development is responsible for the high-quality development and execution of mechanical retrofit and design/build efficiency solutions for large commercial/industrial clients. The position requires extensive knowledge of and experience with HVAC system design and mechanical system design including boilers and chillers. This person must have the ability to quickly analyze mechanical systems and determine potential cost-effective efficiency solutions based on potential energy reduction, estimated solution installed cost and potential utility incentives.
The Mechanical Manager will also provide leadership to a team of Mechanical Engineers and Project Managers in the development and execution of mechanical efficiency solutions.
Mechanical Leadership
- Lead, perform, and direct detailed mechanical systems audits in conjunction with team members.
- Create and revise project scopes to conform to ROI and payback criteria that will meet client, Utility, and sales requirements.
- Work with Utility on all facets of ensuring project conforms and fully qualifies for incentives.
- Ensure all mechanical projects meet profitability metrics.
- Oversee, support, and execute the identification of comprehensive projects, bringing in necessary resources to provide a comprehensive project as warranted.
- Work with outside and inside sales in a team environment to create value for clients.
- Develop mechanical efficiency solution proposals and create proposal presentations for clients.
Mechanical Project Development
- Ensure high quality results of turnkey retrofit projects through identification development and installation in collaboration with company engineers, subcontractors, manufacturers and distributors.
- Providing sufficient engineering and design to support design/build installations.
- Lead team process of Identifying and gathering appropriate field data and development of accurate installation costs.
- Ensure that all mechanical efficiency solutions are appropriate for the customer’s operation and meet all code requirements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience directly managing mechanical project teams.
- 8+ years’ mechanical efficiency solution development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction management for HVAC systems and boiler/chiller systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Out of region travel will be required (estimated to be 20-30%).

$120,000 - $145,000 a year
