About the Role:
Reporting to the Technical Delivery Manager, the Associate Managed Services Engineer will troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain the IT infrastructure of client environments. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Maintains documentation of client networks and systems. Research to learn current concepts, best practices, and procedures aligned to technical expertise. Works closely with senior level engineers to confirm procedures before implementing in client environments. Will be tightly integrated with the entire Managed Services team and be a contributing member to all solutions delivered by Managed Services and NOC Solutions.
What You’ll Do:
Participate in after-hours migrations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and on-call availability as needed to support client needs.Stay current with OEM system updates and developments.Maintain specialization roles as needed by Trace3.Hardware Management:
- Assist in setting up, configuring, and maintaining hardware such as physical servers and storage devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues.
Virtualized Infrastructure Management:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain multiple Hypervisor environments
- Create and manage virtual machines (VMs) based on business requirements.
Infrastructure Support:
- Patching of virtual environments:
- HPE SimpliVity
- Dell OpenManage
- VMware
- Nutanix
- Perform routine maintenance and system optimizations.
- Participate in scheduling and planning for maintenance of virtualized environments.
- Interface with third party vendors as liaison between client and vendor for support on hardware and software.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Provide data to help generate reports to be shared with clients
Qualifications & Interests:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent level of education/work experience
- Two years related experience in a technical position
- Holds current certification(s) to support area(s) of expertise
- Demonstrates initiative and independently researches resolutions to problems
- Actively pursues professional development opportunities
- Knowledge of Microsoft or VMware environments
- Demonstrated ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling critical issues and work with various clients and management levels
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate by phone or in person
- Demonstrated written communication skills

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.Estimated Pay Range$40,000—$58,000 USD
