One year before, Translation was awarded Ad Age’s Small Agency of the Year.We are looking for a Brazil Country Manager to join UnitedMasters! Please note that this is a contract position based in Brazil. 

What You'll Do


As Country Manager,  will be responsible for establishing and expanding UnitedMasters' strategy, marketing and operational objectives in Brazil.The Country Manager will collaborate with the Head of International, VP of Marketing, and VP of Music to achieve cross-functional objectives for UnitedMasters' Partner Artists and actively participate in international decision-making processes related to product, pricing, promotions, partnerships, events, and more.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing budgets, setting objectives, and tracking key performance indicators, and managing local resources and teams.
  • Assessing and negotiating financial plans and monitoring investments.
  • Partnering with UnitedMasters’ global Music leadership to build and manage a high-performing local team comprising A&R, Artist Marketing and Operations & SupportAssisting local consultants and vendors in soliciting and negotiating agreements.
  • Representing the company's interests when interacting with artists, brands, and engaging with local stakeholders, associations, publishers, labels, press, and events.
  • Conducting market research and staying updated on trends that may impact the current strategy and future product developments.
  • Collaborating with US brand partnerships teams in identifying local opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • In-depth understanding of the music industry, including current trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape
  • Strong business sense and the ability to make strategic decisions that align with the company's goals and objectives
  • Excellent networking skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including artists, record labels, promoters, distributors, and media outlets
  • Leadership skills to manage and inspire a team
  • Good negotiation skills for securing favorable deals with partners, artists, and other industry players

Minimum Qualifications


  • Proven experience in Management, Business Development and Leadership roles
  • 3+ years of experience in the music, media or entertainment industry
  • Knowledge of the music industry
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English

Preferred Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in the music industry with profound knowledge of trends, technology, data and networking in the region
  • Has worked for multinational companies
  • Has led cross-functional teams in a tech company
  • Has negotiated and signed agreements with artists in the territory
