Electro Mechanical Technician
This is a Electro Mechanical Technician position, which will work with the Technical Services Manager and Production and Quality Control Engineer to ensure proper execution and delivery of assembled panels and skids.
Position Responsibilities
The Electro Mechanical Technician will provide the highest level quality and accuracy when assembling any product that is to be delivered to our customers.
Responsibilities
· Perform mechanical assembly, fabrication, and electrical wiring tasks in accordance with manufacturing procedures. Tasks include:o Crimping, Interconnecting Cables, Harnesses, Wire Terminations, Cable Assemblies, Installation, Labeling, and Point-to-Point Continuity Test o Sub-panel / Enclosure layout and mounting of system hardware components· Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment.· Must effectively interface with customers, vendors co-workers, shop supervisory personnel, and engineering personnel· Perform work with minimal supervision· Report hours and activities on a daily basis using business software· Identify and correct any unsafe conditions in the work environment· Must be able and available to cross train into other value add activities.· Must have initiative beyond tasks that are routine.Requirements
Requirements· Volt/Ohm meter reading· Knowledge of basic wiring techniques· Electrical Instrumentation experience· Knowledge of basic mechanical / fabrication techniques· Ability to utilize hand tools and power tools· Self motivated / self starter· Read and understand blueprints, assembly drawings, and mechanical drawings· Works well within a co-operative group environment· Pneumatic tubing experience desirable· Welding experience desirable
Physical Requirements: · Regularly required to be able to move about the facility (standing, walking, kneeling) and customer sites, varying by location. Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 60 pounds. Occasionally required to work in elevated areas. Exert force of 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 25-50 lbs. frequently, 10-20 lbs. constantly.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Must comply with company safety and PPE requirements.
- Varying with task, will be required to wear safety glasses, hard hat, safety-toe shoes, arc-flash equipment (NFPA 70E or equivalent) and other safety equipment as defined by OSHA, Company, or other regulatory entity.
Work Environment:
· Occasionally exposed to work conditions in extreme temperatures and loud environments.
