Sigma Defense is seeking a Senior Software Configuration Manager to provide on-site support through development and maintenance of software configuration management tools in support of configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of internally and externally developed software. The SCM will implement and deploy engineering tasks to ensure new product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configuration, and are logistically sustainable.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's and nine (9) years, Master's and seven (7) years of experience, or relevant years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong understanding of Configuration Management standards to include knowledge and experience using DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), MIL-HDBK-61 and ISO10007
  • Strong understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and NIST SP 800-53
  • Ability to maintain baselines using SAFe 6.0, Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Thorough knowledge of software and hardware configuration management principles and procedures and an understanding of the systems development life cycle Is critical.
  • Must be able to read technical documentation and Identify alignment or conflict with process requirements and policies. 07.20.2023 Version 2.0
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and knowledge in cloud and software-defined networking principles and technologies.
  • Experience with DoD Defense Planning Guide (DPG) Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process.
  • Experience with Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) standards and tools.

Personnel Clearance Level:


  • Candidate must possess an active, DoD issued Secret security clearance.
  • A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related field of study.

Essential Job Duties (not all inclusive):


  • Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database, or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development.
  • Design and implement build procedures used to support software product development and use.
  • Responsible for planning, identification, control, monitoring, and verification activities to achieve control of the IT system functional.
  • Review released engineering change requests and data to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.
  • Implement the configuration management processes and procedures according to the Configuration Management SOP.
  • Establish and maintain a Process Asset Library to effectively control data and processes, to include organizing and categorizing relevant documentation and ensuring its accessibility to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive audit checklists to facilitate the release of both internal and external documentation. These checklists will serve as a guide to ensure compliance with established standards, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Review and verify the Version Description Document (VDD) to ensure its correctness and completeness.
  • Create templates for various work instructions, procedures, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop a comprehensive Data Management Plan for outlining the protocols and procedures for controlling, storing, and managing data, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 annually.
