Job Title: Warehouse LeadCompany: House of ForgingsLocation: Edison, NJJob Type: Full-timeEEO Category: Laborers and HelpersVETERANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY House of Forgings and its subsidiaries are looking for a Warehouse Associate who will help lead a dynamic team of individuals to perform various tasks related to fulfilling orders, packaging, stocking, loading, unloading, and ensuring the general organization and safety of the warehouse. The ideal candidate will be dependable, prompt, reliable and engaged. Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and stock various products utilized in the stairs and railing supply industry.
- Review orders, pull requested items from shelves, examine for accuracy, and wrap for transport.
- Provide loading and unloading support and oversight as needed.
- Update databases timely and provide accurate inventory counts as requested.
- Follow processes and procedures as instructed by your supervisor as well as suggesting enhancements as you see opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Help maintain a clean and organized working environment.
- Follow established safety guidelines and proper protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service to our internal and external partners, customers, logistics professionals, vendors as well as vendor partners and employees.
- Proactive communication to management regarding issues and concerns.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a warehouse setting working in various capacities.
- Ability to operate many types of material handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed.
- Strong reading and communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Should be able to stand for long periods of time in an environment with minimal climate control.
