Are you ready to be at the forefront of the clean energy revolution? MetOx International, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in reshaping the future of power generation and distribution.
Based at our global headquarters in Houston, TX, the Quality Engineer ensures high-quality products by performing various quality assurance and control tasks. Responsibilities include planning and executing projects to improve quality processes, conducting root cause analysis for product quality issues, presenting data to teams, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented. The role also involves gage verification, document management using QMS software, coordinating nonconformance resolution, assisting in product acceptance testing, and evaluating critical suppliers.
Collaboration with other departments and the ability to communicate effectively are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate root cause analysis activities for product quality.
- Present data to cross-functional teams and follow-up on the completion of corrective actions
- Perform gage verification, tracking, and traceability activities.
- Use QMS (or similar) software to register and review documents, enter nonconformances, and coordinate the completion of management of change events.
- Coordinate collection of product acceptance testing results into final product certifications and product quality release.
- Collaborate with others to write work instructions and other documented information
- Support and/or lead critical supplier evaluations
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of science in engineering or related field
- Prior manufacturing experience, may include internship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of core quality statistics and metrics
- Experience with Minitab or JMP statistics software
- Experience with gage calibration and metrology
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic quality concepts including statistical process control, sampling frequency analysis (AQL or other), product and process validations, and specification requirements management.
- Advanced computer skills are required, including the configuration of logical systems in QMS (or similar) software.
- Able to create professional presentations of data.
- Proficient use of project management tools.
- Ability to support cross-functional teams.
- Strong ability to organize resources and information to accomplish project goals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities are required.
