Mantis Innovation is a leading turnkey facility consulting company that delivers smart, sustainable solutions to improve facility performance across key functions, including energy procurement, asset management, and energy efficiency. We provide services to the entire facility, inside and out, and can impact 70% of critical budget allocations for operations. Our company relies on proprietary software tools to offer a full suite of services, including energy procurement and demand management; solar, roofing, building envelope, and pavement assessment and maintenance; and LED lighting, HVAC/mechanical, and building automation systems design and implementation.
General Summary
This position is responsible for providing project management of mechanical retrofits, namely large scale boiler projects, for large commercial/industrial clients. The Mechanical Project Manager will work closely with sales engineers, subcontractors, manufacturers and distributors to ensure high customer satisfaction in identification and installation of turnkey retrofit projects. The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for audits of facilities, creation of scopes of work that will be used in sales proposals, coordination and management of all subcontractors and vendors during construction, and working with utility personnel on all items needed for incentive money for the project.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed Mechanical/Boiler systems audits
- Ability to create and revise project scopes to conform to ROI and Payback criteria that will meet client, utility and sales requirements
- Work with utility on all facets of ensuring project conforms and fully qualifies for incentives
- Ensure projects meet profitability metrics
- Display ability to identify comprehensive projects and bring in necessary resources to provide a comprehensive project, as warranted
- Work with outside and inside sales in a team environment to create value for clients
- Use a detail-oriented approach to efficiently manage projects to be on-time and on-budget
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years experience in Mechanical Project Management
- General knowledge of boiler/mechanical contracting, systems design, distribution and construction processes
- Experience working with Utility programs
- Demonstrated knowledge of the HVAC supply chain process, or have similar experience within construction-specific distribution
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to travel out of state (estimated 20-30%)
