The Opportunity - Senior Payroll Specialist
Wrapbook is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist who will report to the Corporate Controller. In this role, you will be responsible for processing our bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now in compliance with all applicable tax regulations for our multi-state US and Canadian employees.
What you'll do:
Own the end-to-end payroll processing for United States multi-state bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now
Own the end-to-end payroll processing for Canada bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now
Create new state setups within ADP Workforce Now and maintain updates for existing states
Serve as the subject matter expert to interpret tax compliance requirements for both the United States and Canada
Create internal processes to ensure integrity and accuracy of the payroll data within the HRIS
Responsible for processing US 401K and Canadian RRSP activity including employee and employer contributions, and compliance audits
Processing and issuing annual tax documents to internal employees
Assist the Accounting team with journal entries and account reconciliations
Serve as the contact for employee payroll inquiries
What you’ll have:
Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Business related field, or equivalent experience in payroll and benefits department preferred
4+ years of payroll processing experience in a virtual or multi-state US workforce
Experience with processing payroll in Canada
Familiarity with benefits administration
Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment
Experience with ADP Workforce Now
Ability to independently research and interpret new tax requirements
