What you'll be doing:
To lead and oversee all finance, accounting, trade reconciliation, reporting activities, annual budgeting, planning process and taxation matters of the Group
To design, lead and oversee the treasury management function of the Group
To lead and oversee the preparation of reports and presentations for senior stakeholders and for engagement with external investors and/or regulators
To design and lead projects to operationalize changes in accounting standards, regulatory reporting, and taxation
To design and lead the execution of finance-related projects and operations to support the growth of the business
To be a key liaison for the company in respect of its audits and dealings with regulatory authorities (including tax and financial regulators), and professional advisors (i.e. lawyers, accountants etc.)
To play an active role in supporting the Group strategic initiatives including but not limited to acquisitions, capital raising and expansion plans
Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with clients, regulators, investors, and other key stakeholders
Handling ad-hoc projects and initiatives that advances the Group’s growth
What we're looking for:
A motivated professional looking for a challenge and a step-up in function and responsibilities
At least a Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounting or equivalent in relevant discipline
Post-grad qualifications such as ACCA, CFA, CPA or other equivalent certification will be preferred
At least 7 years' experience in accounting and financial reporting within the finance, banking, trading or payments sector
Strong knowledge and understanding of global accounting standards including SFRS, US GAAP and IFRS
Strong understanding of treasury management functions
Strong domain knowledge of financial markets infrastructure and products, payments, remittance and settlements operations, or open banking would be advantageous
Strong knowledge of local regulatory and reporting requirements in at least Singapore. Knowledge of local regulatory and reporting requirements in off-shore jurisdictions will be highly regarded
Experienced in dealings with audits, regulatory reporting and handling of regulatory inquiries.
Knowledge in programming languages such as Python, R or SQL will be highly regarded.
Strong analytical, communication and people skills, ability to influence and collaborate with people across different cultures and backgrounds
Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers
Adaptable, resilient and passionate about making a difference
Experience dealing with complex issues, forward-looking, solutions-oriented, ability to be hands-on
The successful hire will be based in Singapore
