The Finance Team at Chainalysis splits their time between fine-tuning the details and evaluating the 30,000 foot view of our business. Our job is to help the company plan for growth by investing in the right resources and audit our expenditures and revenues to ensure we’re being fiscally responsible.
The Financial Analyst, Go-To-Market FP&A will be a strategic business partner to our Sales & Marketing organizations and will support ongoing planning and reporting needs, as well as advise on strategic departmental decisions with actionable financial insights. You will own budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for the Sales & Marketing organizations and will be a critical partner in driving business results.
In this role, you’ll:
Become a strategic business partner to the Sales & Marketing organization by providing critical reporting and actionable insights rooted in financial and data analysis
Work in close collaboration with the finance, sales, and operations organizations to facilitate annual planning and rolling forecasting processes for the Sales & Marketing teams
Support creation of budgets and forecasts for bookings, churn & contraction, KPIs, and divisional expenses
Maintain regular reporting on performance against top-line KPIs and variance to budget/forecast
Partner closely with Revenue Ops to monitor and track key bookings and churn & contraction data
Proactively identify opportunities for change, process improvement, and system enhancements
Prepare presentations for company leadership and the board
Own ad hoc analyses for special projects across the organization
We’re looking for candidates who have:
Established background in FP&A, specifically for a GTM organization
Prior SaaS company experience, with a deep understanding of SaaS metrics
Proven ability to scale manual processes into more automated ones
Excellent reporting skills with the ability to not only gather the appropriate data, but also glean insight to improve the performance of the company’s operations
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Keen analytical abilities and an appetite for process improvements and efficiencies
Nice to have experience:
Preferred systems skills in Salesforce, Adaptive, and /or NetSuite
Previous experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment
