Who You Are
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Sr. Animal Technician to contribute to drug discovery activities for the development of novel small molecule cancer therapeutics as part of our cancer biology discovery team. The successful candidate will collaborate with team members to support a variety of in vivo studies across the BridgeBio Oncology Therapeutics pipeline by helping with tumor cell inoculations, dosing, bleeding, and tissue harvests.The schedule for this position requires working on Saturday and Sunday every week and then 3 days during the work week.
The position also requires some vivarium operational tasks. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual, who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced and growing environment to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Perform mouse tumor cell inoculations, dosing (po, ip, iv, sc), blood collection (cardiac, submandibular, tail vein), and tissue harvests
- Maintain records in electronic vivarium software
- Manage vivarium inventory and equipment
- Understand and implement applicable regulations around animal care/safety/handling

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements
- Highly motivated and collaborative individual with good organizational skills
- BS in a biology-related discipline
- BS and >1 year hands-on experience performing studies in a vivarium (oncology setting preferred)
- Industry experience preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills

Below is the anticipated hourly range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final hourly rate offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process.
