AMP is hiring a driven and proactive Engineering Program Manager (EPM) reporting to the Director of Hardware Engineering in Louisville, CO, with a weekly mix of in-office and work from home days. The ideal candidate will have technical program management experience across multiple engineering disciplines, as well as exposure to the cross-functional departments with whom you will partner to realize new products and facilities, including product management, sales, software, operations, and procurement.
As an EPM at AMP, you will have the opportunity to:
- Guide multi-disciplinary project teams developing new technologies, large-scale new facility builds, and retrofit improvement programs in pursuit of AMP’s vision for a world without waste
- Develop, manage, and communicate project schedules, budgets, goals, and deliverables to the project teams and cross-functional stakeholders
- Execute project plans while closely monitoring performance metrics
- Collaborate with leadership to troubleshoot project issues, assess allocation of resources, and continually mitigate risk as projects unfold and as new work requests arise
- Exercise swift and sound judgment to make critical project changes as required, while assessing risks and controlling scope
- Host and drive a variety of meetings, including internal engineering meetings, interdepartmental program alignment meetings, and phase gate reviews
- Accelerate the pace of product development by leveraging and implementing project management best practices
Your background and experience will include:
Required:
- 3-5+ years of demonstrated success guiding cross-functional engineering programs in an Engineering Program/Project Management role in which you were responsible for the program budget, schedule, and scope
- Exemplary written communication and public speaking skills, which you exercise to lead team meetings and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the company
- The ability to independently and diplomatically solve complex challenges with a positive attitude and sound judgment, escalating issues to leadership when necessary
- Knowledge of product development principles gained through professional experience, including a comprehensive understanding of the product development processes for different engineering disciplines and how they interact
- A degree in a relevant engineering field or related degree/work experience
Preferred:
- Experience synthesizing project inputs from wide range of engineering disciplines: mechanical, software, electrical, and robotics are preferred
- Experience successfully planning scope, schedule and budgets for multiple large-scale projects and executing within those parameters
- Proficiency in authoring technical requirements documents and presentations to communicate engineering designs and procedures to a wide audience
- Experience managing and analyzing large datasets as well as an ability to distill quantifiable and subjective data points from many stakeholders into succinct decision matrices
- A knack for gracefully managing shifting priorities and a comfort with delegation in order to leverage your, and the team’s, finite bandwidth
- Proficiency with project management tools including Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheets
- Familiarity with Solidworks to reference relevant design files and assemblies

Equity Grant:
The candidate selected for this role will be recommended for a stock option grant commensurate with the position and the candidate’s qualifications.
