Position Overview
Verra Mobility is currently hiring a Compliance Analyst. This individual contributor will be responsible for maintaining an understanding of all current DMV service contracts and ensuring ongoing compliance with each DMV relationship and across all Verra Mobility offices and personnel. This individual will maintain strong working relationships within the company and with DMV data providers to ensure that all DMV contracts are up to date, in compliance, and that they do not expire. The Compliance Analyst will report to Senior Counsel within the Government Solutions Legal division.
Essential Responsibilities
- Serve as the Verra Mobility primary point of contact for all state DMV offices and third-party providers, and work to expand and strengthen these relationships.
- Partner with Legal, IT Security, and Engineering on all new DMV provider contracts, renewals, or amendments to ensure commitments are acceptable.
- Track, manage and facilitate the DMV contract renewal process to ensure required documentation is executed and delivered timely.
- Support assessment of our ability to acquire new DMV data connections as well as broaden existing DMV contract language to expand data access and use rights.
- Work with IT Security, Engineering, Legal and other internal teams to identify and assess DMV contract compliance obligations and assist in resolution of compliance issues as appropriate.
- Ensure Verra Mobility maintains full compliance with DMV provider requirements as specified in the DMV contract language.
- Contribute to the development of DMV compliance training materials and deliver training to various audiences.
- Conduct or assist in DMV data provider compliance audits and reviews.
- Manage DMV compliance obligations and audits as they relate to customers and service providers.
- Provide ongoing advice internally relating to DMV compliance obligations and availability.
- Maintain updated files and records of DMV data provider contracts, internal and external compliance audits, training materials, policies and other related documents.
- Support Solution Services and Software Development teams to resolve DMV access or return issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree/qualifications or equivalent work experience.
- At least one year of experience working in contract management or compliance preferred.
- Ability to analyze and interpret contract and statutory language as well as state and local government policies to identify compliance obligations and risks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as candidate will be required to coordinate effectively with various departments, develop and prepare coordinated responses, interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document their work and findings.
- Ability to work and solve problems independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and to work well with others.
- Exceptional relationship building skills, both internal and external.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet all assigned deadlines.
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
