Job Summary:
Salesforce is a cornerstone tool of SmithRx’s business, for both GTM and customer service. As such, the Salesforce team plays a foundational role at SmithRx, with the responsibility of creating, maintaining, and optimizing core business processes throughout the company. This Senior Business Systems Analyst will be the “founding BSA” role within the Salesforce team at SmithRx. This team is currently composed of two Salesforce Admins and one Salesforce Specialist, with no dedicated business analyst support. The Senior Business Analyst will play a key strategic and executional role collaborating with almost every team in the organization to improve our tools, products, and processes. They will work closely with the Salesforce Admins and the stakeholder teams that the Salesforce team serves in order to ideate, define, plan, deploy, and optimize key projects. The Senior Business Analyst will be primarily focused on Salesforce initially, but may undertake BA duties for other business systems as the team evolves.
What you will do:
- Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and processes.
- Conduct thorough analysis to gather and document detailed business requirements.
- Salesforce Expertise:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Salesforce capabilities and best practices.
- Provide recommendations on how to leverage Salesforce to meet business needs.
- Solution Design:
- Lead and facilitate discussions with relevant subject matter experts to drive effective solutions in Salesforce to address business requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams and Salesforce Admin & Eng to ensure solutions align with overall architecture and design principles.
- Planning and Execution:
- Deliver quarterly, monthly and sprint planning.
- Drive execution and status to deliver the plan and measure the impact.
- Communicate planning, execution, impact status and risks.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide insights into business performance.
- User Training and Support:
- Conduct user training sessions to ensure effective utilization of Salesforce features.
- Facilitate ongoing support to end-users and address any issues or concerns.
- Data Management:
- Call out the requirements needed to support data migration and integration activities within Salesforce.
- Work with the Salesforce Admins to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within the system for projects on which the BA is contributing.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Customer Success, Product, Tech, sales, marketing, and IT, to foster collaboration and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including presenting findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with Salesforce updates and industry best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose enhancements to existing Salesforce implementations.
What you will bring to SmithRx:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Product Manager/Business Analyst with focus on Salesforce systems or enterprise CRMs.
- Experience working with product engineering teams to help facilitate business solutions
- Understanding of Salesforce object structure and Salesforce low-code solutions such as Flows and lightning enabled instances
- Salesforce Administrator or Advanced Administrator or Salesforce Service Cloud certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with third-party integrations such as Conga, DocuSign, popular call center tools.
