We are hiring a Director of Sales to lead a team of business development and account executives through a fast-paced sales cycle as they onboard, deliver meaningful impact, and grow their veterinary practice accounts. We are looking for an experienced, data-driven sales leader with a proven track record of success to achieve results for our customers and their furry friends. Mixlab is a fast-paced, tech-enabled organization and is building for massive growth. As a member of the leadership team, you will play a major role in our company's success as we scale. This is a remote role with a preference for candidates within a major metro area.
Candidates must be located in the United States.On Target Earnings $170-185k ($110-125k base + $60k variable bonus)
About the Role:
- Lead a multi-functional team of BDR and Territory Managers, each responsible for onboarding new and growing existing veterinary clinics in their assigned geographic territories
- Responsible for all aspects of the sales organization, including sales operations, new business development and account management
- Be the voice of the sales team and an active member of Mixlab’s senior leadership team; build cross-department relationships to achieve company-level strategic initiatives
- Set annual and quarterly sales plans to deliver overall business goals
- Develop KPIs and processes to help the team deliver against business goals
- Develop reporting and dashboards in CRM to monitor performance; report on performance with actionable plans to replicate successes and problem-solve areas of opportunity
- Own and leverage CRM (HubSpot) to provide regular coaching and feedback to the team
- Lead the team with empathy to build trust and collaboration
- Partner with Marketing and Digital teams to plan and execute cross-department, multi-channel strategies, including sales enablement collateral, events, CRM automation, nurture campaigns and reporting
- Hire and onboard for new and open positions on the team as needed

About You:
- Five+ years of B2B/B2B2C sales management experience leading a team of five or more sales managers
- Proven capability and exceptional track record of successfully achieving sales plans
- Proven track record in a high-velocity sales cycle managing BDRs, account executives and account managers
- Ability to roll up your sleeves as an individual contributor as needed, allowing you to have a pulse on customer and team needs while always creatively challenging how things can be better
- Ability to create an empathetic and high-achieving environment with a desire to win
- Experience developing action plans and proactively problem-solve to achieve goals
- Exceptional prioritization, organizational and communication skills
- Metrics-driven to keep the team, the company and yourself accountable for achieving goals
- Bias toward action
- Strong work ethic and self-reliant with an understanding that no task is too small or too large to tackle
- Mastery of CRM, HubSpot preferred, and modern sales tools
- Able to travel approximately once a month
- Highly coachable and flexible, and enjoy receiving and acting on constructive feedback
