Role


This position is for a software engineer passionate about automating complex website interactions. Existing software for the project consists of several components, primarily written in Python, and the goal of the project is to pull it all together into a production application, in Golang on top of Kubernetes. In this role, there are also ample opportunities to experiment with and apply machine learning techniques to build novel features that further the mission.

Responsibilities


  • Lead design and architecture of microservice-based web applications 
  • Develop robust and high-quality software
  • Build and integrate testing in the development lifecycle
  • Facilitate delivery and deployment of operational capabilities on customer infrastructure

Required Qualifications


  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance (note, only US Citizens are eligible for security clearances)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. The degree requirement can be met with four years of hands on experience in a software engineer or similar full time position
  • Must have demonstrate the ability to develop and integrate software across teams
  • Experience providing daily guidance and oversight to other engineers
  • Experience contributing to or leading the design of new web applications
  • Highly proficient in Python
  • Proficient with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman)
  • Proficient with container orchestration using Kubernetes
  • Comfortable and proficient in Windows and Linux-based development environments
  • Working knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and graph databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Neo4j)
  • Ability to collaborate on a team and execute independently
  • Comfortable in a high-trust, adaptable, team environment

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to the required qualifications)


  • Current US TS/SCI security clearance
  • Applied machine learning experience (content generation or analysis, decision-making, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Go
  • Browser automation expertise
  • Experience communicating across technical teams, and with customers and end-users
