About the role:
The Director of Accounting will report to our VP of Accounting and work closely with members of the executive team and other key stakeholders to build teams, processes, systems, and capabilities that scale with and support our rapidly growing business. This role would be suited for an accounting professional with strong business acumen, solid management and leadership skills, and operating + systems development experience, who thrives when working on challenges and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic, high growth environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate and manage, with the International Director of accounting, the GL accounting team.
- Manage General Ledger monthly close for all entities
- Prepare monthly internal financial statements and present results to VP of Accounting and CFO
- Manage the audit process both for consolidated entities, as well as collaborate with the tax team on statutory audits for the international subsidiaries.
- Coordinate with the technical accounting team, any technical memos resulting for significant transactions.
- Oversee the US and international payroll process, which includes submitting bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly pay cycles
- Oversee the accounts payable process to ensure vendors are paid timely and that internal approval documentation is completed
- Manage the sales commissions process, which includes calculating and communicating commission payouts to the sales team as well as calculating an accurate month-end accrual
- Collaborate with various internal teams to establish, refine, and innovate effective financial procedures, controls, and technology improvements to enhance department efficiency, speed, and cost-effectiveness.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
- Take on additional tasks and special projects, including identifying opportunities for system enhancements.
- Continue to improve internal control environment
What you’ll need:
- Experience at a Big 4 or next tier public accounting firm, CPA a plus
- Significant knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with peers and management up to Executive level
- Very strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience with NetSuite
- 10+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Ability to work independently
- 7+ years of experience managing a team

Hybrid work:

Salary Range: $177,000 - 237,000 annually + bonus + equity + benefitsThe referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, and skill level.
