About This Position


Firstbase is seeking a dynamic Solutions Engineer with strong collaboration and creativity skills to drive technical wins within our prospect base. This role will play a pivotal part in seizing the vast market opportunity presented by the shift to remote work.Working hand in hand with our Account Executives, you’ll solve a unique challenge by coupling business automation objectives with physical supply chain challenges.  In doing this you help businesses transform the way they manage their computer equipment and orchestrate onboarding and onboarding processes as well as other lifecycle events.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to create solutions & drive process improvements that ultimately lead to huge efficiency gains for our customers. This is a remote position that can be done from anywhere in the US.

Your Responsibilities



  • Proactively take ownership in partnering with our Enterprise Sales teams and help the team hit their quarterly revenue goals.

  • Serve as the go-to technical subject matter expert by consulting with prospects in their transition to remote work.

  • Develop an understanding of desired customer technical and business outcomes as you help them design the solutions to achieve those goals.

  • Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to C-Level audience and key stakeholders and articulate how they can drive value from the Firstbase platform.

  • Work closely with internal teams to brainstorm solutions for overcoming key challenges, and develop impactful project scopes for provisioning end-users with computer equipment on a global scale.

  • Lead value discovery sessions to understand the quantifiable impact on a clients current situation and develop value propositions on how Firstbase can benefit them.

  • Secure technical wins by differentiating Firstbase against the competition, handling technical objections and mitigate any concerns that might block a deal from closing.

  • Collaborate closely with our Product & Engineering teams to provide insights into customer feedback and desired technical solutions.

  • Coordinate with our customer-facing Product team to ensure that solutions deliver on our external customers’ needs & roadmap and work seamlessly with our customer-facing product.

  • Support Sales, Partner and Marketing teams with product knowledge and technical subject matter expertise.

What We're Looking For



  • You are self-motivated and have the desire to learn and become an expert on equipment lifecycles, remote work strategy and operational supply chain.

  • You have experience in integrations and process automation and have worked closely with customers before to define, document and implement their integration needs. 

  • You’re execution-oriented and obsess about the details to set the standard for high performance execution.  You don’t let edge cases slip by and know how to make sure all the bases are covered.

  • You’re creative and are constantly pushing the boundaries of what good looks like, iterating on existing content and best practices.

  • You’re a servant leader who’s built strong, trusting relationships with your past teammates. You can prove it by pointing to ways you’ve helped internal customers become more successful in their jobs because of the solutions you’ve built. 

  • You have strong business value selling experience and familiarity with SaaS and Cloud technology.

  • You’re motivated by the velocity and messiness of an early-stage startup, and you’re eager to contribute to help us constantly improve as we grow. 

  • And when it comes to how you show up: you’re deeply curious, self-directed, motivated to make an impact, and humble.

A Few Key Qualifications:



  • 3+ years relevant experience in a Solution Consultant (presales) role

  • Experience working with a diligent sales process methodology (MEDDIC, Value Selling, etc.)

  • Strong technical background in software or IT and can quickly pick up technical knowledge in areas such as end user computing (Laptop configuration, MDM, imaging, compliance, Apple and Windows device management).

  • Experience working in technical problems tied to integrations, automation.

  • General understanding of API development 

  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers/in B2B SaaS to define their needs and help explore solutions for them

  • Excellent overall communication skills — both written & verbal

  • Pragmatic approach to solving problems in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Eagerness to work with a distributed team across the US and UK
