About the Role
We seek an Associate Creative Director to lead the team in defining how photography, illustration/3D, video, experiential/event design, and campaigns become durable differentiators for Ramp. The ideal candidate has deep experience working on photography, video, and advertising campaigns and has a proven track record of independently leading these work streams. This person has a strong grasp of how in-house brand teams operate and has successfully led projects and teams to create excellent work. This role will partner closely with the Creative Director and cross-functional partners to define priorities, set direction, and oversee execution.This is a management role, and the right candidate can inspire the team to do their best work, give thoughtful and constructive feedback, and evolve our existing work to be more aligned, consistent, and opinionated.
Please note that this Associate Creative Director role will require you to be comfortable being based in NYC. Ideally, working in person at our NYC HQ (located near Madison Square Park) at least 2 days/week.
What You’ll Do
Lead the creative development process for video content, including concept development, storyboarding, scriptwriting, directing, and post-production
Oversee the production of high-quality photography and 3D assets for marketing campaigns, social media, and other promotional materials
Collaborate with marketing, strategy, and writing teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns that align with brand objectives and target audience
Drive our customer evidence photo and video program in partnership with the Customer Marketing team
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in video production, photography, and digital marketing to innovate and optimize creative strategies continuously
Manage a team of creative professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to ensure the successful execution of projects
Work closely with external agencies and freelancers to expand creative capabilities and execute larger-scale projects when needed
What You Need
BA or BFA in Graphic Design or New Media preferred
Minimum 8 years of design and art direction experience in product-focused companies and experience managing teams in high-growth environments
Impeccable taste in visual media (storytelling, narrative/docu-style videos)
Strategic thinker, skillful communicator, and adept at giving creative direction
Highly collaborative and great at establishing relationships
Confident in presenting solutions to wider creative teams and working autonomously
Expertise in commissioning diverse types of photography, ranging from documentary/reportage to portraiture and conceptual and still-life photography
Expertise in the nuances of shoot production processes—from bidding, sourcing talent, creating shot lists, and on-set and post-production workflows
Deep understanding and interest in new forms of photography/3D
Experience setting direction and giving feedback on 3D. Has strong opinions on lighting, surfaces/textures, and the process/tools involved in creating renders
Experience creating integrated campaigns across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, and print

The Ramp Brand team is a multi-disciplinary group of designers, illustrators, writers, and producers. We focus on defining and maintaining the company's brand identity and are integrated into most customer-facing projects. We accelerate the work of our colleagues by developing principles, establishing systems, and outlining standards that help the company scale beautifully and consistently. We create campaigns, events, web pages, and print materials that inspire and connect with our growing customer base.
Compensation
The annual salary/OTE range for the target level for this role is $161,500-$190,000 + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
