About the Role
Saturn is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to lead all go to market (GTM) efforts for Saturn’s new college product. The role will be responsible for all pre-launch, launch, and post-launch college marketing activities to drive the product’s adoption and accelerate growth. PMM will conduct and interpret market research to impact the product roadmap, develop positioning for the product inclusive of marketing collateral, while driving GTM strategy and execution through both on the ground field marketing and paid marketing activations.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter able to provide thought leadership on marketing strategy with a strong bias for action executing and delivering marketing strategies. As the first PMM at Saturn, this role will partner closely with Product Management in particular, but also User Research, Data Science and Operations to develop and execute the college marketing approach. - Develop the company’s end-to-end marketing plan for the college product and drive its execution
- Deliver a clear value proposition, use cases and scenarios that ultimately demonstrates Saturn’s value to users ratified by product adoption metrics
- Oversee all marketing activations from on-the-ground activations to “launch” events at schools, including planning events and managing logistical oversight, to network-wide paid media channels and placements
- Be a fantastic thought partner to Product Management, Data Science, User Research and other functions to drive organizational consensus and success around the marketing strategy
- Be accountable to a marketing budget tied directly to product adoption and growth goals
- Explore market development opportunities (co-marketing promotions, sponsorships, partnerships, etc) to increase awareness and visibility of Saturn across US colleges.
- Work directly with agencies to amplify Saturn’s brand footprint and on-the-ground programs.
- Uplevel Saturn’s marketing muscle from Day 1; continue to influence and build this muscle across the business over time
Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4+ years experience working in Product Marketing or Growth Marketing, with experience in mobile consumer products a huge plus
- Experience leading GTM partnerships with Product Management and cross-functional teams
- Experience leading strategy and implementation of new product offerings going 0-1 and 1 to scale
- Team player with a ”can-do” mentality––ability to bring strategic growth marketing mindset to startup and scrappy execution practicalities
- Aptitude for thinking analytically, with experience managing data flows and insights across multiple sources and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, eager to develop rigorous and defensible solutions to complex and ambiguous problems
- Grit and resilience - not afraid to fail and learn, iterate and rapidly evolve to move business goals forward
- A genuine interest in Saturn’s mission and market opportunity
- BA/BS degree or MBA / MS or graduate degree
