We all work out of our (legendary) San Francisco office, which was once used to build ships during the World Wars.Our satellites, which operate from geostationary orbit (GEO), weigh only 400 kg and utilize a proprietary software-defined radio payload. Employee Success Partner


As an Employee Success Partner (more commonly known as HR Business Partner) on the People Operations team, you will play a critical role in accelerating the growth of Astranis. You will be a strategic business partner and consultant for leaders and individual contributors, helping build organizational strategies and solutions that will empower and enable everyone to do their best work. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for people and the drive to positively influence the direction of a high-growth space startup. This role will report to the Head of People Operations and is expected to work 3 days per week onsite in our historic San Francisco office.

Role


  • Provide guidance and thought leadership on People-related topics including performance management, career development, employee engagement, organizational design, change management, employee relations, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and other key initiatives.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor for all team members in the departments you support, from senior leaders to entry-level new hires. 
  • Partner cross-functionally to design and execute scalable People programs, systems, and tools that support key business objectives and drive organizational excellence.
  • Lead and support People projects and initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience, ensuring that our team members love where they work.
  • Leverage organizational health data to identify key opportunities and inform overall strategy. 

Requirements


  • 3-5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, with specific HR knowledge of employee relations, performance management, organizational design, and workforce planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to zoom in and out between strategic thinking and tactical execution seamlessly. 
  • Analytically driven with strong project management skills and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and HR systems such as ADP WorkforceNow, Lattice, and Culture Amp.
  • Comfort with navigating ambiguity within a complex and dynamic business environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Bonus:


  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience working in a high-growth company or start-up environment.
  • A bias for action as evidenced through a thoughtful, pragmatic, and value-creating solution mindset.
  • Experience with coaching employees and managers at all levels.

What we offer: 


All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.Base pay is a single component of Astranis's total rewards package, which may also include equity in the form of incentive stock options, high quality company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance benefits, flexible PTO, 401(K) retirement, and free on-site catered meals.Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.Base Salary$115,000—$150,000 USD
