We all work out of our (legendary) San Francisco office, which was once used to build ships during the World Wars.Our satellites, which operate from geostationary orbit (GEO), weigh only 400 kg and utilize a proprietary software-defined radio payload. Receptionist


As the first point of contact for our company, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner, possess strong people skills, and thrive in a high-pressure environment.

Role:


  • Greet visitors and employees with a calm, courteous, and professional demeanor.
  • Manage inquiries via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Professional attire and appearance.
  • Maintain reception area to be client ready.
  • Assist with on-site visits.
  • Handle shipping and receiving of packages efficiently and accurately.
  • Use many digital tools in the completion of your work, including the Google suite, Slack, and more.
  • Act as a creative problem solver, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
  • Understand and prioritize security protocols and non-disclosure agreements, ensuring the safety of our premises, personnel, and proprietary information.
  • Adapt quickly to changes in procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support company-wide initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • 2 years of experience in a receptionist or high volume customer service role required
  • Previous experience in Shipping and receiving/package handling required
  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to convey information clearly and accurately in a professional and respectful tone with colleagues, clients, and others.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the Google suite, Slack, and Canva.
  • Ability to share ideas, feedback, and opinions in a constructive and professional manner.
  • Ability to listen and be open to learning from other people’s advice and observations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of the importance of security measures.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about learning and contributing to a fast-changing environment.
  • Repetitive, substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Crouching, kneeling, standing, climbing, stooping, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.Base pay is a single component of Astranis's total rewards package, which may also include equity in the form of incentive stock options, high quality company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance benefits, flexible PTO, 401(K) retirement, and free on-site catered meals.Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.Base Hourly Pay$20—$30 USD
