Hashicorp is evolving our approach to managing the digital workplace, with a focus on data-driven decision-making, employee experience, and delivering value through the applications we use every day. We are forming a new role to address the ongoing growth and process maturity required to help IT and HashiCorp scale as we embark on a Corporate Digital Transformation (CDT) journey. The G&A Product and Engineering leader is expected to influence the enterprise-wide reinvention of the digital workplace in such a way that matures our operational processes and streamlines the way our systems work together to deliver value to our business model
- We are hiring a people leader to oversee the People, Finance, and Legal (G&A) business systems to deliver value-based business solutions for operational challenges and opportunities. This new role reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Digital Transformation (CDT). As Director of G&A Product and Engineering, you'll play a critical role in shaping the organization's digital future, driving team velocity, and maintaining a relentless focus on delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure 3rd party SaaS solutions that are strategically relevant to mature our operations and enhance the productivity of the company’s employees.
In this role, you can expect to…
- Leadership: As a key member of the CDT leadership team, you'll drive strategic planning, portfolio management, and ensure the continuous learning and development of the team to accelerate product roadmap development and delivery best practices.
- Product Management: Develop and implement the strategic vision & roadmap for the G&A Product & Engineering function, ensuring alignment with both the overarching People, Finance, and Legal objectives and the organization's goals; design and develop technical solutions with future-proof design by leveraging technology to drive efficiencies for process and data challenges; proactively identify opportunities for system streamlining, process refinements, and automation to boost operational efficiency and elevate user satisfaction.
- Partnership: Partner within CDT, across Data & Technology, with our vendors, and across the G&A business, ensuring the team is well positioned to deliver technology strategy recommendations to our stakeholders, move the needle on streamlining our tech stack, and driving value from it.
- Technical Program Management: Oversee your vertical G&A TPM to ensure they partner closely with the Go-to-market TPM, Strategy & Architecture, and project management teams across the Enterprise to triage intake, prioritization, cross-functional roadmap planning in order to deliver initiatives on time and within budget, ensuring the successful deployment of these types of solutions.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the success, velocity and efficiency of the G&A product and engineering, regularly reviewing and optimizing resource management, process effectiveness and performance challenges..
- G&A Architecture Alignment: Partner with G&A Architect to develop product area maturity models, adhere to new architectural standards, develop business and systems documentation and holistic solution design; advocating for the implementation of this within our G&A functions to shape and mature our digital workplace.
- Employee-Centered Design Thinking: Create a process so employees have a greater voice in G&A technology direction and workplace interaction. Ensure that the end goal of adoption and productivity is at the center of our digital workplace strategies.

- Many years of IT experience in a fast-moving, agile environment in a high-growth company, ideally including several years supporting a portfolio of 3rd party SaaS platforms.
- Several years of experience in people systems, headcount planning, and analytics
- Several years of experience in financial systems with in-depth knowledge of financial accounting & reporting and accounts payable processes
- Knowledgeable in a variety of 3rd party digital workplace tools, including Workday, Greenhouse, Netsuite, ADP, Concur, and Coupa.
- Understanding of SOX compliance, SDLC, and control audits
- At least three (5) years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts
- Ability to work across senior-level business lines to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.
- Tenacity and pragmatism in focusing the information discovery process
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- These skills include championing psychological safety, team building, alignment building, the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, and achieving goals through others not directly under the leader's supervision, by working ethically and with integrity.
- An ability to handle change, ambiguity, decision-making, and deadlines in a structured fashion.
