What you’ll be working on:
- Developing, implementing, and continuously improving AML policies, procedures, and controls following regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and other illicit activities on the platform.
- Monitoring and analysing transactions, customer activity, and internal alerts to detect suspicious patterns or behaviours indicative of financial crime.
- Investigating and escalating potential AML risks, conducting thorough due diligence and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate action is taken.
- Staying abreast of regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging risks in the cryptocurrency and fintech sectors, providing expert guidance and recommendations to senior management.
- Leading AML training and awareness initiatives for employees, promoting a culture of compliance and vigilance throughout the organisation.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries, examinations, and audits related to AML matters, coordinating responses and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS) preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in AML compliance within the financial services or fintech industry, with specific experience in cryptocurrency or digital asset exchanges highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of AML laws, regulations, and guidance applicable to cryptocurrency businesses.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing effective AML programs, policies, and controls, with a strong understanding of transaction monitoring, KYC/AML due diligence, and suspicious activity reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex financial transactions and identify potential AML risks or anomalies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate complex AML concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to influence and inspire others, drive consensus, and foster a culture of compliance and integrity.
- Excellent English.
