About the role
This role demands a mix of technical acumen, user empathy, and a keen sense of market dynamics. You will initially be tasked with conceptualizing and executing strategies around how our customers access their data readily, securely, and dependably - new authentication methods, fostering innovation, and driving adoption. You will join us to play a leading role in this journey. In general, you will be instrumental in driving solutions to market that align with both user needs and business objectives, all whilst identifying and navigating technical constraints.
Through collaboration with Engineering & UX, Security, Sales & Marketing, and other stakeholders, you will define product requirements and roadmaps, advocate for user-centric solutions, and balance technical feasibility with commercial viability.Strong candidates will boast a proven track record in building and delivering impactful enterprise IT/Security software products, having executed these strategies in a fast-paced business environment.
Location
You will be based in Lisbon, with English as your working language. We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with Tuesday being the company day, where we all collaborate in the office and have a company-sponsored meal, a department day for team bonding (will be Thursday for your department), and a third day of your choice. We offer relocation support (national and international).
Responsibilities
- Become the expert on our customers’ needs around straightforward, secure, and recoverable access to their data. And translate that understanding into a coherent vision, strategy, and roadmap - aligned with the company’s overarching business goals.
- Be a tireless advocate for the customer by being informed by data, research, and direct feedback from customers, prospects, and customer-facing teams.
- Develop deep market expertise, conducting regular competitive assessment and positioning analyses - to determine vectors of current and emerging competitors and identify where we can differentiate.
- Serve as the key leader in the execution of your strategy by cycling cross-functional teams from problem discovery to solution delivery through to measurable customer and business value.
- Align and rally cross-functional teams around your strategy, ensuring clarity of goals, roles, and desired outcomes. Drive decisions and resolve bottlenecks with a proactive, collaborative approach.
- Monitor KPIs to evaluate initiative success, refine your strategy as needed, and report on progress to stakeholders - including the Executive team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, specifically with a focus on technical, innovative products in the realm of cybersecurity, authentication, or related fields. You have a history of balancing innovation with pragmatism.
- At least 1 year of experience working with cybersecurity principles and an understanding of the broader Identity and Access Management landscape.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences, from Engineering to Sales to Executive Leadership.
We’re also looking for...
- Customer obsession, curiosity, and exemplary empathy - a visionary leader with a track record of building products that delight customers
- Ability to blend qualitative & quantitative insights and industry trends into clear problems to solve. And then break down a vision into its smallest increments - starting with an initial “MVP”
- Technically adept and strategic systems thinking - the ability to translate complex technical challenges and data trends into actionable insights and plans
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different cultures and time zones
- Bias for action - you have an informed POV on the next steps at each stage of development
