Software Engineer, Product Fullstack

AirtableOnsite
This job is no longer open

Airtable’s mission is to bring the power of computing and software development to everyone. We are developing a powerful and extensible toolkit that our customers can leverage to solve a variety of different problems and workflows. We’ve seen our most sophisticated customers use the product to run global processes across thousands of employees, coordinate precision manufacturing pipelines, and consolidate previously siloed mission-critical data into a single source of truth. The complexity of these use cases requires us to be extremely thoughtful about how we design and implement new functionality in the product and make sure it’s both easy to use and comprehend for our customers and maintainable for us.
As a full stack engineer at Airtable, you will have the opportunity to work with customers to deeply understand their needs and workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners across product management, design, research and data science to create innovative new features that enable our customers to do their best work. You will be responsible for owning and executing the end-to-end implementation of these new features that will contribute to making our toolkit even more powerful and successful.

We currently have openings on:

  • The Extensibility Team (Fullstack/FE, SF/NYC): This team enables sophisticated apps to be built on Airtable by expanding the platform capabilities to support customization with both scripting and no-code extensions. An example active project is Application Lifecycle Management capabilities such as sandboxing and other frameworks to facilitate the development, management, and deployment of advanced workflows on top of the Airtable platform. Additionally, the team oversees the public Web API, the Extensions product, and other advanced functionalities that expand what can be built with Airtable.
  • The Components Team (Fullstack/FE, SF) is responsible for the foundational support of Airtable’s Interface Designer: Interfaces are the UI layer of our platform that empowers customers to create and customize interfaces according to their workflows. This team’s work involves projects aimed at enhancing interfaces as a platform (e.g., introducing new elements and layouts) and implementing focused initiatives to improve usability and drive engagement within interfaces. Additionally, the team collaborates closely with cross-functional partners and engages directly with customers to gather requirements and discuss use cases firsthand.
  • The Large Deployments Team's (Fullstack, SF) mission is to accelerate organizational value for the largest customers, with seamless onboarding and confident controls. As we navigate the complexities of organizations with 100k+ employees, we are redefining how users and content are optimally provisioned. For example, our current projects cover license management, user groups, and data governance controls.

Please note: while we employ a hybrid working model at Airtable (flexible in working from the office or elsewhere), we are looking to hire candidates at this level who are based in San Francisco/Bay Area or New York City who are open to coming into the office at least ~2-3 times/week for team collaboration.

  • Partner with product managers, designers, and data scientists to understand the needs of potential users and build a product that unlocks their potential.
  • Work alongside and learn from a talented group of engineers with a diverse range of experiences and backgrounds.

Who you are

  • You have ~2-5 years of industry experience with modern full-stack web development, with particular emphasis on user facing feature development and full stack or frontend work.
