Focusing on data and systems, this role supports our acquisition and retention teams through enablement across owned and paid marketing channels.
This unique technical role straddles marketing, product, engineering, data, and analytics, working closely with technical and non-technical collaborators across the company.In addition to technical expertise, the role requires excellent communication skills, proactivity, an ability to work independently, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet requirements according to set timelines.This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco office and we are not able to offer relocation assistance for this role.For more information on compensation and benefits, please click here.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:
- Work across a wide set of internal and 3rd party tools that enable full-funnel marketing programs across acquisition, activation, conversion, retention, re-activation, and re-targeting.
- Develop impactful segmentation and personalization using Strava’s rich data.
- Maintain actionable, accurate, and timely customer data across systems to ensure Strava users have a consistent experience across all channels.
- Proactively find opportunities for innovation and improvement, growing marketing capabilities, and alignments across tools.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, engineering, and analytics teams to identify problems and opportunities that support our business goals.
- Assist with technical troubleshooting and experimentation.
- Aid decision-making through ad-hoc analysis and reporting.
You will be successful here by:
- Demonstrating empathy for athletes and their experience while using Strava
- Maintaining clear documentation, democratizing knowledge, and empowering team members.
- Taking ownership of your work and partnering with cross-functional peers to ensure data and systems are properly scoped and implemented.
- Owning your work end-to-end and being accountable for the outcomes.
We’re excited about you because you have:
- At least five years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with marketing tech stack tools and integrations - CRM, Data platforms, Attribution, Experimentation, Marketing automation, and Analysis.
- Experience with paid marketing and acquisition ecosystems - Google ads, Meta ads, Apple ads, ASO, and attribution platforms.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills - Needs to navigate multiple systems to troubleshoot complex implementation challenges.
- SQL - Medium to advanced proficiency for audience building, personalization, experimentation, and reporting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills - Ability to effectively link between technical and marketing partners across the organization
Nice to have:
- Understanding of software development processes and shipping code.
- Programmatic advertising technology, both DSP and SSP demand- and supply-side platforms.
