About the Role
Ethos is looking for a life insurance professional to join our insurance team. You will lead relationships with key insurance partners for existing products and develop new relationships to drive development and launch of new products and solutions. You will work closely with our product, actuarial, underwriting, engineering and sales teams to evolve our offerings to meet the needs of our customers and our insurance partners. We are looking for someone who is excited by the prospect of doing the impossible and scaling a new insurance model at extraordinary speed.
The right candidate will have an advanced understanding of the US life insurance market and products, a strong network within the industry, the ability to credibly influence insurance partners at pace, and the acuity to create value and capitalize on unrealized opportunities in the market. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Spearhead management of assigned life insurance partnerships
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver new partnerships and bring new products to market
- Work with engineering teams to implement core business requirements when bringing new products to market
- Drive carrier and Ethos-driven initiatives to enhance our offerings and support carrier needs
- Proactively research and evaluate potential new products and partnerships to support the strategic goals of the business
Qualifications and Skills:
- Have a bias for action and are comfortable managing partner relationships to achieve the same
- Are self-motivated and persistent to drive outcomes
- Have deep knowledge of the US life insurance market and products
- Have a strong network within the life insurance industry
- Have prior experience working with engineering teams to develop technology solutions in the life insurance space
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills, including understanding stakeholder needs and communicating credibly and effectively to a variety of different audiences
- Are detail-oriented and have strong project management skills
- Extensive US life insurance experience
- FSA (or similar) preferred
- Reinsurance or Life Insurance Consulting background a plus

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
