Location: Remote from Poland (Warsaw, Gdansk) or Ukraine (Lviv, Kyiv) The RoleJoin our Data Engineering team to have an outsized impact on TuneIn’s data processing platforms. You will collaborate with data science, engineering, and product teams to design, build, and scale batch and real-time data pipelines capable of processing billions of events across over 200 connected device types to enable analytics, modeling, and experimentation use cases. These critical datasets directly inform how TuneIn identifies opportunities, measures success, and drives decision-making.What you'll do
- Create, scale, and maintain data pipelines and foundational datasets to support analytics, modeling, experimentation, product, and business needs.
- Collaborate closely with data science and engineering teams to improve the coverage, accuracy, and reliability of instrumentation.
- Design and build database architectures for massive and complex data, balancing ergonomic benefits with computational load and cost.
- Implement real-time event aggregation pipelines to power content & user insights, quality monitoring, and experimentation.
- Maintain and rethink existing datasets and pipelines to service a wider variety of use cases in collaboration with data consumers.
What we are looking for
- 5+ years in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data models from structured and unstructured sources.
Skills & Technical Abilities
- Highly proficient in Python and SQL.
- Expert in engineering data pipelines using big data technologies (Spark, Flink, Airflow), and data warehouses (Snowflake or Redshift) on large-scale data sets demonstrated through 5+ years of experience.
- Familiar with modern deployment and CI/CD practices (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
- Experience with any cloud platform like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Conceptually familiar with AWS cloud resources (S3, EC2, RDS, IAM, etc) is a plus.
- Experience with DBT, and Real-time data is a plus.
