The Position:
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of software developers building iOS and Android applications as well as optimizing the core systems of the platform. You will be a leader, mentor, and hands-on developer when needed. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Marketers, QA Analysts, and other engineering leaders. You will report to one of our Engineering Directors.The Playmakers team is spearheading a build out of game day experiences for newer sports on the GC platform. On an app that has a wild and loyal fanbase, the Playmakers team stewards some of the core technology that translates scoring and video information into a rich story about the game - including game highlights, stats, and recaps.
What You’ll Do:
Work on building a team with high trust and performance.
Encourage engineers to contribute at the highest level and serve our customers.
Ship early and often. New app versions are released every week.
Work with leadership peers to refine and improve our innovative engineering culture.
Promote responsible engineering practices across the whole engineering organization.
Help engineers gain technical breadth and depth, improve judgment, and develop into tomorrow’s leaders.
Contribute to the design and implementation of critical features used by millions of users.
Collaborate with cross-functional peers to build a roadmap and execute on projects.
Who You Are:
A Leader with at least 2 years of experience managing mobile engineering teams.
At least 5 years of software development experience, including as a technical lead.
Comfort working and leading in a Lean and Agile environment.
Hands-on experience developing native applications on iOS and/or Android and interest in learning a variety of technology stacks.
Experience working on back-end API solutions for mobile applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Someone who can connect people to the mission of serving our users.
History of successful product delivery.

This is part of a total compensation package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
