A Day in the Life:
The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for managing all tax requirements for external reporting and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will have the ability to create strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
The Impact You’ll Make:
Prepare and review quarterly and annual global tax provision, including effective tax rate and tax reserve analysis, and financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740, US GAAP or other guidance
Review certain annual statutory tax provisions and tax disclosures for the financial statements of foreign subsidiaries as prepared under local GAAP
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and legal teams, to gather necessary financial data and ensure accurate tax reporting
Manage the consolidation and reconciliation of tax-related data to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Participate in and support SOX controls for income taxes
Manage the Company’s compliance function, including the consolidated US federal income tax return, US international, state and local returns, and certain foreign tax returns.
Review federal, state, and local estimated tax payments and extensions
Support federal, state and foreign tax audits as needed
Provision modelling for new tax law changes including but not limited to Pillar 2
Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the organization's tax reporting, and communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholders
Manage external auditor relationship for US GAAP audit of income taxes
Research and document technical tax and tax accounting issues
Drive automation initiatives to increase the efficiency of the tax accounting and compliance process and provide support for various process improvements
Active participation in other tax projects
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MS in Tax and/or a CPA preferred
8+ years of financial reporting experience with a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department
Technical knowledge of U.S. income tax matters, ASC 740 - Income Taxes, U.S. federal and state tax compliance, and relevant industry experience
Must be collaborative and team-oriented personality with the ability to build and foster relationships throughout the organization
Experience managing a positive relationship with external auditors and tax advisors.
Strong proficiency in Excel and G suite
Experience working with NetSuite or other ERP systems
Experience working with Alteryx a plus
Familiarity with international tax reporting
Detail-oriented, strong analytical skills, and be able to multitask and work independently, with the ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility and adaptability – the ability to deal with changing internal and external environments
