Role Overview:
As a Social Media Listening Specialist, you'll be responsible for monitoring and analyzing social media conversations, trends, and sentiments relevant to our brand and industry. You'll leverage advanced listening tools and techniques to gather actionable insights, identify emerging trends, and anticipate shifts in consumer behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring Social Media Channels: Utilize social media listening tools to track conversations across various platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and relevant forums and blogs.
- Analyzing Trends and Sentiments: Analyze social media data to identify trends, sentiments, and emerging topics relevant to our brand and industry, providing regular reports and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Identifying Brand Mentions: Monitor brand mentions, hashtags, and keywords to assess brand sentiment, identify potential issues or opportunities, and engage with our audience in real-time.
- Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis by monitoring competitor mentions and activities on social media, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, customer service, and other relevant teams to share insights, align strategies, and support initiatives that enhance our brand's online presence.
- Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and optimize our social media listening processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media management, analytics, or digital marketing, with a focus on social media listening and trend analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, extract insights, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Familiarity with social media listening tools such as Brandwatch, Sprout Social, Hootsuite Insights, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distill complex data into clear and actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Passion for social media and a keen interest in staying ahead of industry trends and innovations.
