The regional sales manager ensures profitable growth in sales, and revenue through planning, execution, and management of a supportive team.

Your specific responsibilities and duties will include:


Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives. Strategize sales plans for short and long-term objectivesManage significant opportunity pipeline to guarantee success and regional growthAnalyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growthCounsel, train, and guide direct reports to drive organization plans for achieving sales goalsIdentify hiring needs, select and train new salespeopleHire, train, set goals and monitor the performance of direct reportsReport on regional sales resultsForecast quarterly and annual profitsPrepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibilityAddress potential problems and suggest prompt solutionsParticipate in decisions for expansion or acquisitionSuggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfactionInform on regional competitive activities and overall marketplace on timeFoster relationships with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Engineering teams

Requirements


  • Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager, or similar senior sales role (>3 years)
  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)
  • Familiarity with CRM software, preferably Salesforce 
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent analytical skills and comfort with math
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to motivate staff and lead a team
  • The right level of entrepreneurship, creativity, and commitment
  • Maritime domain experience is a plus
  • Availability to travel as needed
  • University degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field
