The Role
We're hiring for a People Intern to join our Workforce/ Total Rewards team! The internship is a 10-week program beginning June 3rd, 2024 and runs until August 16th, 2024 (with 1 week off during the week of July 4th).We are seeking a highly motivated HR intern with a passion for data analytics and process improvement to join our team. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human resources while focusing on data analysis and insights generation. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a desire to contribute to strategic HR initiatives through data-driven decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Collect, clean, and organize HR-related data from various sources including BambooHR, Paylocity, Lattice, and Greenhouse
- Analyze HR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives within the HR department, providing analytical support as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HR analytics into broader organizational strategies and initiatives.
- Create and analyze office utilization reports.
- Track local office assets to ensure all assets are accounted for, order local office supplies as needed.
- Research local vendors to support meaningful and engaging workforce events.
- Participate in the event planning process, including the development of event project plans.
- Coordinate and execute event requirements such as AV contracts, hotel food and beverage contracts, offsite meals, and teambuilding events.
Who You Are
- You are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resources, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You have strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Python, or similar software.
- You have familiarity with statistical concepts and techniques, including regression analysis, clustering, and hypothesis testing.
- You have effective communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- You are proactive problem-solving attitude and a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
