As an Associate Software Engineer, you’ll be a key member of our Technology team, contributing cross-departmentally to create web pages that fuse compelling design and current technologies.
The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, possess a strong curiosity and desire to ideate and explore new features to improve experiences. You’ll participate in discussions about product ideation, proof-of-concepts, and give feedback on ideas.
*This role is fully onsite M-Fri in our Calabasas, CA*
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- A disciplined approach to development, documentation, and code structure
- Ability to write modules for both Node.js and browser environments, and can easily switch context between the two
- Experience with CSS frameworks such as Foundation or Bootstrap
- An understanding of JavaScript fundamentals including DOM manipulation
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences
- MUST HAVE: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- NICE TO HAVE: PHP, ColdFusion, Angular, Node.js, MySQL, SQL Server, Docker, AWS, Lambda, Step Functions, Fargate, Aurora, XSL/XSLT/XML
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, and refine new products and services
- Master our proprietary platform to deliver customer systems consisting of websites, dynamic forms, emails, and mobile applications
- Implement advanced UI/UX with HTML, CSS, Javascript, XSL, and basic graphic design
- Tackle a wide variety of coding problems throughout the stack
- Brainstorm and prototype new concepts and approaches quickly
- Keep up to date on technology techniques and trends
- Need to work in office; be available during regular hours as well as occasional off-hours availability depending on project needs.
