We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful individual to be a part of our Documentation and Insurance Verification team. This role will provide day-to-day guidance to this small team (5 staff members) while also becoming an expert in performing insurance verifications and chasing documentation requirements for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) orders for urology, ostomy, wound care, and diabetes. This role is split 65% / 35% in doing the work of a Documentation/Insurance Verification Specialist and providing guidance and leadership to the team.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership: Take lead in directing the team on which activities to focus attention through patient prioritizations, call strategies, and leading by example
- Drive efficiency: Review individual performance and coach team members to improve their every-day outputs and quality. Drive accountability every day, and be a voice to drive changes in process and automation so we can continue to improve over time
- Collect Documentation: As a working team lead, this role will also have you be responsible to contact offices to collect documentation, and this role should be a top performer to lead by example in showing the team how to effectively engage with doctor's offices to collect and review documentation
Who You Are
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
- Able to interact and communicate professionally with various levels within the organization
- Ready to step into a small team to drive production and provide basic oversight
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent oral and written communication skills ( phone etiquette, spelling, grammar)
- Healthcare experience, insurance verification, documentation, and/or DME experience preferred
