Our parent company is a top 15 SBA 7(a) preferred lender with SBA express and small loan capabilities.Position Description:The SBA Resolution Specialist is responsible for performing a wide array of post-closing and servicing functions primarily related to SBA Lending. This position requires knowledge of the standard operating procedures for SBA 7(a) lending (SBA SOP) and experience associated with SBA loans classified as problem/troubled loans requiring intense management to resolve borrower issues.
This role will support the ongoing credit servicing department for all loans while maintaining borrower relationship to cultivate a positive customer service experience. The SBA Resolution Specialist will be responsible for helping to build out the initial scope of our SBA servicing department. Prior SBA servicing experience is preferred. The SBA Resolution Specialist’s responsibilities include:
- Perform wide range of responsibilities for troubled loans and loans in various work out stages (post default);
- Assist the servicing department with past due liquidations and post-default tickler follow-up, as needed;
- Assist with the preparation of liquidation packages such as Universal Purchase Package (UPP) and Charge-off Package (Wrap-up);
- Order appraisals, environmental investigations, site visits, title commitments and other items as needed for loans in liquidation;
- Assist with the preparation of Offer in Compromise as needed;
- Tracks loans in repurchased status for confirmation of charge-offs;
- Responsible for monitoring SBA monthly/quarterly reports for loans in repurchased status;
- Work with legal team to property file litigation/liquidation notices as needed;
- Flag bankruptcy filings in the system of record;
- Prepare and manage bankruptcy filings by working with legal counsel as needed;
Other Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for staying apprised of changes to the SBA SOP to ensure compliance with the most current requirements;
- Keep up to date on Lender policies, SBA policies, and laws and regulations that govern commercial lending;
- Communicates effectively with coworkers, other employees, vendors, and SBA personnel;
- Must be organized and detail oriented;
- Other job duties as assigned to assure team effectiveness;
Qualifications for Success:
- Bachelor Degree (preferred)
- Commercial credit resolution experience minimum 3 – 5 years (preferred)
- Commercial lending experience (required)
- Excellent analytical skills

- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new SBA changes and processes
- Ability to stay on top of deadlines
Physical Demands:The physical demands of the position are typical of those found in a traditional office environment. The Office Manager will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
