Our parent company is a top 15 SBA 7(a) preferred lender with SBA express and small loan capabilities.Position Description:We are looking for an SBA Legal Document Specialist to join our growing team. Through a dynamic, technology-centric model, this position will play a critical role in meeting the legal needs dictated by the SBA portfolio and in the participation of corresponding government loan programs. A successful candidate will possess the analytical thinking skills necessary to analyze and synthesize information to understand issues, identify legal needs, and support sound decision making to contribute to the overall goals and objectives of iBusiness Funding.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate all legal documentation required to close SBA loans in accordance with company policy and SBA SOP Guidelines
- Documents include but are not limited to: Agreement to Provide Insurance, Business Loan Agreement, Closing Certifications, Customer Identification Form, Error and Omissions Agreement, Guarantees, Non-Identity Affidavits, Resolutions, SBA Form 1050, SBA Note, Loan Agreements, and SBA Form 1059
- Prepare and review all required SBA state specific documents required for closing
- Confirm receipt of all post-closing legal documentation, checking for dates, signatures, and 100% accuracy on all documentation
- Work closely and build professional relationships with Credit, Supervising Attorneys and Closing Departments to ensure legal compliance of all loan-related documentation
- Present any observations of legal deficiencies to supervising Attorney(s)/closing department
- Adhere to turn time requirements
- Additional duties as requested
Qualifications for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- SBA 7a lending experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial lending experience and/or relevant work experience in a functional role required or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to prioritize and operate with a sense of urgency
- Able to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
- Able to demonstrate initiative to accomplish work objectives
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Able to prioritize and operate with a sense of urgency
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro
Physical Demands:The physical demands of the position are typical of those found in a traditional office environment. Employees will not need to walk significant distances nor lift substantial weight.
